All students from Primary School to High School are involved in different community projects. In Middle School, Service as Action is part of the IB Middle Years Programme, as is the Community Project in the 3rd year of MYP. In the first two years of High School, community service projects are part of the requirement to eventually be awarded a BIS High School Diploma, and in the IB Diploma Programme, the CAS component (Creativity, Activity and Service) is an integral part of the IB Diploma.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The MYP Community Project is an important part of the third year of the Middle Years Programme at BIS.\u00a0<\/p>

The Community Project focuses on serving the community in which you live and gives you an opportunity to develop an awareness of the community\u2019s needs and address them through service learning.<\/p>

Creativity, activity, service (CAS) is one of the three essential elements that every student must complete as part of the Diploma Programme (DP).<\/p>

Studied throughout the Diploma Programme, CAS involves students in a range of activities alongside their academic studies.<\/p>

It is not formally assessed. However, students reflect on their CAS experiences as part of the DP, and provide evidence of achieving the seven learning outcomes for CAS.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
