BIS offers IGCSEs as a proven basis to enter the IB Diploma Programme, giving students the experience of a clear curriculum and externally assessed examination. Our students normally take between 7 and 9 IGCSE Courses, with courses offered in the following subjects:

IB Diploma Programme

The IB Diploma Programme (DP) is an academically challenging and balanced programme of education that addresses the intellectual, social, emotional and physical well-being of students, and is respected by universities across the globe. Students in the DP develop as independent and lifelong learners. The interdisciplinary and inquiry-based nature of the programme encourage students to recognise relationships between school subjects and the world outside and combine relevant knowledge, and practical and social intelligence to solve problems.

Students normally take six IB Diploma Courses from six different subject groups, though they may take an additional subject from one of the first four subject groups instead of one of the ‘Arts’ subjects. All full Diploma students also take the three core subjects: ‘Theory of Knowledge’; ‘Extended Essay’; and ‘Creativity, Activity and Service’.

High School Diploma

BIS is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), Council for International Schools, providing international accreditation of our High School Diploma to the same standard as that required for schools in the US.

Kyrgyz National School Completion Certificate
