On Friday and Saturday last week, three teams from BIS made the short journey to UWIS to partake in the local football tournament for some of the international schools here in Bishkek. After an opening ceremony which included a dancing and singing performa nce from our hosts, the competition got underway. The U15 boys had a very strong Friday, winning both of their matches to top their group and go straight into the semifinals, only to unfortunately have a poor second day which resulted in a fourth pla tournament, playing well in patches , ce finish. The U19 boys had a mixed as they ended up coming fifth. The strongest performance for BIS came from the U19 girls, storming into the final after winning a penalty shootout in the semifinal. Unfortunately, the final would end in heartbreak, losing another penalty shootout to the hosts UWIS. 

It was fantastic to see the enjoyment all the players had from the competition and it served as a great warm up for the international tournament in Almaty.
